The Lookout

The Lookout Bungalow is a beautiful raised fale with superb lagoon and ocean views. It is ideal for couples traveling together. Upstairs are 2 separate spacious bedrooms. Step out onto the deck. Privacy is yours while branches of tropical native trees reach out to touch you. By afternoon they will shade you from the burning sunset over Western Polynesia. Down the internal staircase opens to a clean, modern functional kitchen and dining area. Cool drinks are chilling in the fridge/freezer. The Lookout fale has a private bathroom with hot shower and linen supplied. Outside grows a garden adorned in flowers and native scrubs. Take the path to the reception deck and enjoy a coffee and WiFi. Or take the sand track (20 paces) to our beautiful Kanokupolu Beach. Down the track, at waters edge, towers the Humpback Whale lookout platform - Set up your camera or grab your sports binoculars while standing on this raised platform to view a spectacular show of Humpback Whales with calf as they pass by Blue Banana. The lookout offers a perfect vantage point for taking photos or just a special place to enjoy the moment. Late June to early November the Humpback journey north to Tonga's pristine waters to breed and birth. They swim by freely and undisturbed, sometimes stopping to feed their calf.
